Go to MarketplaceHub

Add products

Create a product, duplicate one, add a variant, paste rows, start from photos, or import a spreadsheet, a feed or a store. All go to Needs review.

The + Add products button

On the Products page, + Add products is a split button. Click the button itself to open Create a product. Click the arrow beside it to open the menu with every way to add products. On a phone the button says + Add and the menu opens from the bottom of the screen.

The menu has three groups:

  • Create — Create a product, Start from photos, Duplicate a product, Add a variant to a product.
  • Import — From a spreadsheet, Paste rows, From a supplier feed, From a connected marketplace.
  • Other — Stock-only SKU, and Use the API (opens the API docs in a new tab).

Every product you add goes to Needs review first. Nothing is published until you approve it. See Review products before publishing.

Create a product

A panel opens with the product form. Shortcut: N.

  • Photos — drag photos in or choose files. The first photo is the main photo. Photos are saved in the Products folder of your Media library.
  • Title — a counter shows the length limit of each channel.
  • SKU — must be unique. It is checked while you type, and a free SKU is suggested.
  • Folder, Hub price, Cost (only you see it; the panel shows your profit) and Stock.
  • Where to sell — tick the channels. The panel shows how many AI credits the save will use.

Variants: tick "This product has options like size or colour". Add up to 3 options and type their values. You get one row for each combination, with its own SKU (made from the product SKU and the values), price (empty means the product price) and stock. The product's stock is the total of its variants.

Press Save and review to send the product to Needs review, or Save as draft to finish it later. A draft is kept for 30 days, and the panel offers to continue it next time.

Start from photos

Upload up to 10 photos (JPG, PNG or WebP). Say what the photos show — one product, or one product per photo — add notes for the AI if you like, and pick the channels. Read my photos uses one AI credit per product.

  • While the AI reads, you can close the panel and keep working. The bell tells you when the drafts are ready.
  • Then you check each product. Every field the AI wrote is marked AI: accept it, change it, or press Accept all. The AI takes a price only from your notes, and you always type the stock.
  • Save and next product sends it to Needs review. Skip this one leaves it out.
  • If the AI cannot write a product, it says why and the credit is given back.
  • An unfinished batch from the last week opens again the next time you start.

Duplicate a product

Pick a product (search by title or SKU), or press D on the open product. Create a product opens, filled from it.

  • Copied: photos, description, price, cost, folder and channels, and the variants when they can be copied.
  • Not copied: SKU, stock (starts at 0), sales and reviews. Type a new SKU, or use the one suggested.
  • On a channel where the original is listed (same marketplace and country), the copy reuses its category, so the AI does not charge for it again.

Add a variant to a product

Pick the product. The panel shows its variants and options. Add one block for each new variant — its option values, SKU, price and stock — and tick the listings to add it to. Only listings that already sell with variants can take one. A product that sells as one item is not changed: the panel offers to duplicate it with variants instead.

Paste rows

Copy up to 200 rows from Excel or Google Sheets and paste them into the grid. Each row is checked with the same rules as Create a product. A SKU that is twice in the paste is flagged, and a SKU you already have is skipped. A folder path you type is created if it does not exist. Photo columns take web addresses only. The import puts the new rows on every channel you tick and starts the AI once.

The Import products panel

From a spreadsheet (shortcut I) opens the Import products panel. Pick the source at the top and the channel under Import into. Each channel has its own import.

  • Spreadsheet — a CSV or XLSX file, up to 20,000 rows and 25 MB. Download our CSV or XLSX template if you need one. The panel counts your rows, the new products and the SKUs you already have. Continue to column matching opens the import wizard with your file loaded; nothing is imported until its last step.
  • Supplier feed — a URL (with no sign-in, a username and password, or a token), or a file on your MarketplaceHub SFTP. Test connection shows the file, its rows and columns, and the first 5 rows. Under How often choose Once, Every hour or Every day.
  • Connected marketplace — pick a connected store. Only its listings not yet in MarketplaceHub are copied in. For Shopify you can pick one collection. Importing reads from the store. It does not change anything in it.

Products with a SKU you already have: by default they are skipped, and nothing you have changes. For a spreadsheet or a feed you can choose Also update products with the same SKU and tick what to update: Title, Description, Photos, Price and Stock. Price sets the hub price; a listing with its own price keeps it. A variant SKU gets stock only.

The From a supplier feed and From a connected marketplace menu items open your channel's import setup. With more than one channel, they open the Channels page, where you pick the channel.

While it runs, and when it is done

  • Running: the panel shows "Importing… x of n rows" with the products added, skipped and with errors. Stop import stops after the current batch and keeps what was read. Close — keep running lets you work while it runs.
  • Done: the panel says how many products are now in Unprocessed, with Open Unprocessed. Skipped SKUs and updated products each have a Download list, and errors have See errors. Import more starts again.
  • The bell tells you when a run ends.

Stock-only SKU

A SKU you keep only to track stock, with no listing on any channel: packaging, parts or bundle components. Give it a SKU and stock, and if you like a hub price and a folder. Stock-only SKUs are in All and under the Stock-only filter, never in Ready or Published. To sell one, create a product with it.

When the menu is locked

If MarketplaceHub does not own your catalogue, products come from its owner, and adding them here would be overwritten. The owner is set on the Data Flow page.

  • A store owns it — the button says Add in and the store's name, and opens the store's admin in a new tab. Create and the imports are off, with the reason.
  • Your file feed owns it — the button says Add it to your feed file. The menu shows the feed, its last and next sync, and Sync now.
  • Your own system owns it — Create and the imports are off.
  • Nobody chose an owner, but one was worked out — everything works, with a warning dot. The panel offers Set the owner in Data Flow or Create here anyway.

Stock-only SKU and Use the API always stay on.
