What to do when your eBay card reports that Business Policies aren't enabled: opt in on eBay, then refresh. Orders keep syncing meanwhile.
Your eBay marketplace card says eBay Business Policies not enabled. That is a setting on your eBay account, not on MarketplaceHub: eBay's Business Policies feature is opt-in, and until you opt in eBay holds no Fulfillment, Payment or Return policies for the account and won't accept any.
MarketplaceHub checks for those policies right after connecting. When eBay answers that the account isn't eligible, the card says so and stops there rather than pretending the pull worked.
Only listing is blocked. Your eBay orders keep syncing — they're pulled in and shipment, cancellation and refund updates go back out, none of which touches a business policy.
Opting in is reversible: the Manage your business policies page keeps an Opt out link.
Can't find it? eBay only offers Business Policies to accounts that meet its own selling requirements, and those vary by marketplace. eBay's own help pages, or eBay customer support, are the place to confirm your account qualifies — MarketplaceHub can't enable it on your behalf.
Opting in does not create any policies — eBay lands you on Manage your business policies with an empty list. You need one Payment, one Return and one Postage policy. (Postage is what eBay calls the policy MarketplaceHub and eBay's API both refer to as fulfillment.)
Create them on eBay, or come back here — once you have opted in, Manage Policies in the card's ⋮ menu works and can create them for you. Before opt-in it cannot: it sends the policy to the same eBay account, and eBay refuses it for the same reason the pull failed.
Back on the Dashboard, use the refresh button on the eBay card. MarketplaceHub re-runs the check and, once eBay reports all three policies, the card moves on to the product import.
If eBay shows your business policies but the card still reports them as not enabled, email support and mention which eBay marketplace (country) the card is for.
Tell us what you were doing and what happened — the notification text or a product SKU helps us find it fast.
