Read a store's Logs

Read a store's Logs page: what each request did, what its status means, and what to do when one failed.

What the Logs page shows

Every time MarketplaceHub talks to a marketplace for one of your stores, it records the request: what it asked for, when, how long it took and how it ended. The Logs page lists those requests for one store, newest first. It is the place to look when something did not reach the marketplace, or did not come back from it.

Open it from the store's own pages: in the store's sidebar, under Shortcuts, choose Logs. The Settings card on the store's Overview links to it too.

This is not the same page as API → Logs. That one records the calls your API credentials and assistants made to MarketplaceHub; this one records what MarketplaceHub sent to the marketplace. See Using the API for the other one.

The columns

  • Marketplace and Country — the store the request was for.
  • Request Category — what the request did:
    • Download Orders — new and changed orders read from the marketplace.
    • Upload Inventory — products and listings sent to the marketplace.
    • Update Quantity — price and stock sent to the marketplace.
    • Orders Confirmation, Orders Cancelation, Orders Refunding — shipping, cancelling or refunding an order on the marketplace.
    • Report Inventory — a listing report read from the marketplace.
  • Status — how the request ended (see below).
  • Start Time — when MarketplaceHub sent it.
  • Processing Time — how long the marketplace took to answer.

Reading the status

The status is a coloured badge:

  • Green — Done. The marketplace accepted the request.
  • Blue — In Progress. The marketplace has the request and is still working on it. Some marketplaces process uploads in the background, so this can take a few minutes.
  • Yellow — Done with Errors or Done with Warnings. The request went through, but the marketplace refused or flagged part of it, for example some products in an upload.
  • Red — Error, BadRequest, Unauthorized, Forbidden, InternalServerError or BadGateway. The marketplace did not accept the request.
  • Grey — No Data or another state. For example, a download that found nothing new.

When the marketplace sent an answer, the badge is a link: open it to read the processing details, which are the marketplace's own words about the request. Under the badge, a count such as 3 Products or 2 Orders shows what the request carried. Products opens the list of products that were sent; orders opens the Orders page with exactly those orders.

Filters

The page opens filtered to the store you came from: Marketplace and Country are already set. Clear either one to see more stores. Request Category and Status take several values, so you can show, say, only failed uploads. The refresh button reloads the list with the same filters.

What to do about a red or yellow request

  • Unauthorized or Forbidden — the marketplace no longer accepts the store's sign-in. Open the store's Overview and sign in again with Reconnect. See Pause or disconnect a marketplace if you meant to stop the store.
  • BadRequest, Done with Errors or Done with Warnings — the marketplace refused some of what was sent. Open the processing details to see which products and why, fix them, and publish again. Products didn't appear on the marketplace covers the usual causes.
  • InternalServerError or BadGateway — the problem was on the marketplace's side. Check the next run of the same request. If the same error keeps coming back, email support with the store, the request category and the start time.
