Fix a disconnected marketplace
What Disconnected, Error and Non Professional Account mean on a marketplace card, and how the Authorize button gets you syncing again.
What the card statuses mean
- Connected — everything is authorized and syncing.
- In progress — a pull or import is currently running.
- Disconnected — the marketplace no longer accepts our authorization (revoked, expired, or the app was removed). Publishing and syncing are stopped.
- Error — recent syncs are failing; hover the status for the latest error message.
- Too Many Requests — the marketplace is rate-limiting; this clears on its own.
- Non Professional Account (Amazon) — Amazon's API needs a Professional selling plan; upgrade on Amazon, then click Reconcile.
Reconnecting is usually one click
When a card shows Disconnected, it also shows an Authorize button. Clicking it opens the marketplace's consent page in a new tab with a fresh authorization link — sign in, approve, and the connection comes back. You'll get a "Marketplace connection restored" notification when syncing resumes.
For Amazon and eBay you can also re-run the Setup Marketplace wizard for any country that isn't connected yet.
The notifications to watch for
- "Marketplace connection needs attention" — the marketplace stopped accepting our access; reconnect with Authorize. On Amazon, the notification also offers a one-click re-check.
- "Marketplace sync errors" — jobs are failing with the quoted error; the connection itself may still be fine.
- "Amazon professional account required" — see above.
- "Shopify store disconnected" — the MarketplaceHub app was uninstalled inside Shopify. Reconnect the store to resume syncing (re-approve the app from the Shopify import setup, or via Authorize once the card shows Disconnected).
Still stuck?
If a Shopify or Etsy connection shows Connected but you need to re-approve permissions or move to a different store, contact [email protected] — those connects can't be re-run from the wizard once the store is linked.
