Create a repricing rule

The five-step rule wizard: scope, strategy thresholds, product filters, schedule with safety guardrails, and auto-apply versus review-first rollout.

Start the wizard

On Automate Pricing, click Create Rule. The wizard has five steps: Scope, Pricing Rule, Product Filters, Schedule & Safety, Review.

1 — Scope: where it applies

Choose "Global — every marketplace" or "A specific marketplace / country" (pick the marketplace, optionally narrow to one country). The scope can't be changed after the rule is created — everything else can.

2 — Pricing Rule: strategy & thresholds

• Sales velocity: set when to lower ("If sales are below N units → decrease price by X") and/or raise ("If sales are higher than N units → increase price by X"), each direction with its own on/off switch, over a sales lookback window in days.
• Competitor price: set how far to undercut — "Lower than the competitor by" an amount or percentage.

A live Rule preview restates the rule in plain words as you type.

3 — Product Filters: optional exclusions

Add filters to skip products the rule shouldn't touch — e.g. Brand contains "Acme". Matching products are excluded; leave the step empty to reprice everything in scope.

4 — Schedule & Safety

• How often should it run? Once every day / 3 / 7 / 14 / 30 days.
• Safety guardrails: Minimum price, Maximum price, Min margin over cost (%) (uses each product's Cost field), and Max change per run (%) — no single run can move a price more than this.
• Active — inactive rules are saved but never run.
• Auto-apply price changes — push changes to the marketplace automatically, or leave off to approve each change first. Global-scope rules always queue for review regardless.

5 — Review

The final step restates exactly what the rule will do. Hit Save Rule — active rules are evaluated on the repricing schedule, and manual rules start queuing proposals in Pending Price Changes. You can edit any of this later from the rule's detail pane.
