Amazon Business prices and orders

Set a business price and quantity discounts for Amazon Business buyers, see what Amazon says, and find orders from business buyers.

What Amazon Business is

Amazon Business is Amazon's store for business buyers. If your seller account is enrolled in Amazon Business, you can show business buyers a price of their own, and a lower price when they buy more. Everyone else keeps seeing your normal price.

Set a business price on a product

Open a product on the Products page. On its Amazon card, find Amazon Business and press Edit. A listing with variations has one row for each variation, because each variation is sold on its own.

  • Business price — the price business buyers pay for one unit.
  • Quantity discounts are — Not used, A price per unit, or A percent off.
  • Up to five rows of From quantity and Price or percent. For example: from 10 units, 34.00 each; from 50 units, 30.00 each.

Press Save. Remove takes the business price and the discounts away.

The rules:

  • The business price is more than 0, with at most 2 decimals.
  • Each quantity is 2 or more, and no quantity is used twice.
  • With A price per unit, each price is lower than the business price and lower than the row before it.
  • With A percent off, each percent is between 0 and 100, and bigger than the row before it.

Bring business prices in with an import

A product import can carry business prices too. Use these column names, the same as in Amazon's own files: business_price, quantity_price_type (fixed or percent), quantity_lower_bound1 to quantity_lower_bound5, and quantity_price1 to quantity_price5. The mapping step finds them by their names.

A row with a business price replaces the whole business offer of that listing. A row without one changes nothing: an import never removes a business price.

What is checked before anything is sent

Under each business offer, the product says what would happen to it:

  • Ready — it would be sent to Amazon as it stands.
  • Held — it would not be sent, and the reason is shown. A business price is held when it is above the price everyone else pays, or outside the price limits you set for your account.

Then Amazon checks the offer itself, without changing anything on Amazon. The product shows what Amazon said, and Amazon's reasons when it would refuse the offer. Only an offer Amazon says is valid is sent. When you change an offer, Amazon checks it again.

Your repricing rules change the price everyone pays. They do not change the business price.

Sending business prices to Amazon

Sending business prices is switched on by our team, one Amazon store at a time. Ask us when your seller account is enrolled in Amazon Business. Until it is switched on, your business prices are saved in MarketplaceHub and checked, but nothing about them reaches Amazon.

When sending is on, each business offer on the product says where it stands: sent and waiting for Amazon's answer, live on Amazon, or refused by Amazon with its reasons. The price everyone else pays, your stock and your listing content are not changed by this.

If you remove a business price on a store where sending is on, it is removed from Amazon too. The product shows the removal as waiting until Amazon confirms it.

Orders from business buyers

An order from an Amazon Business buyer has a Business label in Orders. Click the label, or use the filter Only orders from Amazon Business buyers, to see only those orders. The order itself says Buyer type: Amazon Business. See Manage your marketplace orders.

VAT invoices

MarketplaceHub does not create VAT invoices. To have Amazon issue VAT invoices to business buyers, turn on Amazon's VAT Calculation Service in Seller Central. If you issue your own invoices, keep using your accounting system.
